Key School Open House is tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 5th
Perspective parents from our neighborhood are welcome to join us at 9 AM for information session and tours.
Dear fellow Key School parents of twins:
For their science project, our fourth grade twins, Raaghav and Dev, have asked: “Do twins have the same types of fingerprints?” They are looking for volunteers, fraternal or identical twins, who would be willing to allow them to collect their fingerprints in order to test their question. We are willing to come over to your house to collect the fingerprints, if that is more convenient. Or we could send you instructions and perhaps you could scan and email them to me if that works better – or I could collect them from you as well. Either way, we would love to hear from you. Please ping me at email@example.com. Volunteers do not have to be kids but can be adults as well.
The deadline for them to conduct this experiment is Feb. 11, so it would be great if we could get this done by Feb. 9 so that they can prepare their science binders accordingly. Much appreciated.
Also since this is merely for their science project, rest assured that we will destroy all copies of the fingerprints that we collect once the project is done, and will not share them with anyone else. We have a consent form that states this.

Tomorrow is the last day to donate old towels & blankets to Washington Animal Rescue League! Or donate an item from WARL’s Wish List: http://www.warl.org/ support-us/donate/other-ways- to-give/wish-list/. Items can be dropped off at the school’s main entrance. If you cannot bring these items to school, email/text Maria for a pick up at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202 -531-1871.
Key school alumna Claire Wigglesworth and her mom, Laura, co-lead this camp on days off from school. Last year at this Valentines Day themed camp, kids made handprint valentine cards, lollipop flowers; had a salmon, veggie, and chocolate fondu party; and built an igloo and fort in the woods. Camp includes cooking, baking, outdoor recreation, arts & crafts, quiet time and movie and popcorn. Camp held at the Wigglesworth’s home: 5302 MacArthur Boulevard (near Arizona). $65/child. 8:30 AM-5:30 PM. Cancelations by Feb. 8 at noon. Waitlist maintained. For more information or to register, e-mail Laura Wigglesworth: lretzler@yahoo. com.
Raise DC TAG (Tuition Assistance Grant) is trying to raise or remove the cap on the DC TAG program.
If you support the RAISE DC TAG mission please write/email your council member and tell them to support Jack Evans’ resolution introduced last summer…. “to expand the D.C. Tuition Assistance Grant program to fund the entire difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition for DC students at four-year public colleges and universities throughout the US, Guam and Puerto Rico.” Raise DC TAG would like to see this bill go before the DC City Council this spring and get its full support. This will show Congress how important DC TAG is to all DC residents.
