Free After-School Family Cooking Classes: Register by (4/15)
Empower your families to cook healthy meals together! Common Threads is offering a limited number of after-school, chef-led family cooking classes throughout the district. The Family Cooking Class (FCC) focuses on family participation, healthy ingredient substitutions, and convenient cost-saving recipes. Participants even have the opportunity to attend a grocery store field trip that introduces meal planning and effective family shopping habits. Family Matters Camp Moss Hollow
Summer is quickly approaching and it is important that our students experience an exceptional summer. Family Matters Camp Moss Hollow is building future leaders naturally at their beautiful overnight camp located at the foothills of Shenandoah Valley, about an hour drive from Washington, DC. DCPS students, ages 7-14, will engage in activities that will improve social and emotional skills; stimulate learning to improve academic performance; build self-esteem, character and confidence…and so much more!
