Teacher Appreciation: Come Draw with Chalk This Monday Morning Before Drop Off
The hospitality committee will be drawing chalk messages on the blacktop, front sidewalk, and garage entryway for teachers this Monday morning, May 6, a few minutes before school. Please come at 8:15 am, bring your kids, and draw. We’ll provide the chalk!
Bike to School Day is Wednesday, May 8
Bike to School Day is Wednesday, May 8th! This popular Key School event is certainly not one to miss. Once again the Metropolitan Police Department’s Mountain Bike Unit will be providing an escort from CVS, 4859 MacArthur Blvd., NW, to Key. The MPD unit will depart Safeway by 8:15 am and ride along with any students who are there. Bike valet stations will be located on the blacktop so come on up the stairs and have your bike taken care of. The bike valet will last until 8:50 am! Scooters are also encouraged.

There’s Still Time to Pay Your PTO Dues
It is very important for families to pay for their Bulk Supplies ($75 per child) and, if able, their PTO dues. There is still time to pay your 2018-2019 dues and to help the PTO support our children and teachers. Follow this link for more info and to submit payment. To see where your PTO dues go, take a look at the draft budget for the 2019-2020 school year.
Vehicle Safety Reminder
Please remember to not leave any valuables in your vehicle, even for just a few minutes at pick up and drop off. Another Key parent’s vehicle was broken into Friday at pick up; the passenger window was smashed and a computer was stolen. If something is visible it is a target. Please stay alert.
