September 2, 2019
We hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend and is ready to kick this month off right!
PTO Dues & Bulk Supplies
Look at this beautiful pie chart! We are at 39 percent PTO participation from Key families. This is an amazing way to start the year, so give yourself a hand! So far this year, the PTO has spent close to $15,000 on Bulk Supplies alone. It’s a big number! The Bulk Supply program means that no parents or teachers had to go shop for school supplies, and that all children start with exactly the same pencils and notebooks. Please consider getting in your Bulk Supplies and PTO dues to keep this fantastic momentum going! The PTO does so much for Key but we can’t do it without your help.

Don’t miss the Key School Back-To-School Picnic Friday, September 13, from 6:30 to 8 pm! Join our community for pizza, potluck, and fun to celebrate the start of a wonderful school year. Please bring a potluck dish, organized by last name: A-Q families bring main courses or side dishes; R-Z families bring dessert or fruit. Remember to take home your serving items or use disposable items. School rules apply during picnic, and parents are asked to be responsible for their children the entire event to insure everyone has a great time. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to assist the Hospitality Committee with set-up, clean-up, and pizza sales. Please sign up here to help! If you have questions, please contact Saba Vakili or Lindsay Wells Suntag.

Seeking Volunteers for the Key School Library
Help our wonderful librarians shelve library books! It’s an easy way to be involved, get to know our fabulous librarians and library, and see all the great library books our children have at their disposal. Volunteers come to the library after drop-off (around 8:40 or 8:50 am) or before pick-up (2:30 or 2:40 pm) and stay for about 20-30 minutes, typically on a regular rotating schedule a couple times a month (you are welcome to volunteer more or less frequently depending on your schedule!). If you are interested in being a library volunteer, please contact Anne Tsai Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
