Hello and welcome to the latest NW@K! A quick note that if you have questions about what color block day the children are following, you can check the Key School website for this info.
And here’s everything you need to know for the week ahead …
Student Picture day is Wednesday
Student Portrait day with Freed Spirit is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2. Please take a look at this Portrait Day flyer to learn more about what to wear and how to order pictures.
Walk to School Day is Wednesday
Walk to School Day which will be Wednesday, October 2. If students live too far away to walk, they are welcome to meet up at Palisades Park, 5200 Sherier Place, NW, and leave around 8:10 to 8:15 am to walk to school as a group. Parents should still be there to supervise the children throughout the walk. The Green Team hopes to have as many students walk as possible so that we can try to win the Golden Sneaker!
PTO Dues & Bulk Supplies
Our PTO pie chart is getting more beautiful by the week! We are at 59 percent PTO participation from Key families. Thank you very much for helping us start the year off so strongly.
DID YOU KNOW that the PTO has a library fund that pays for library books, supplies for the librarian, and guest author speaker visits? And that in addition to paying for bulk supplies, the PTO gives each teacher their own teacher fund so that they can buy materials they need to support their classroom activities?
The PTO does so much for Key but we can’t keep it all up without your support. Please consider getting in your Bulk Supplies and PTO dues to keep this year’s fantastic momentum going!
