Hello and welcome to the latest Next Week at Key. Thanks to everyone who came out to movie night on Friday, a great time was had by all as we watched Spy Kids under the stars. And thanks to Jessica Davis for organizing, and to all the volunteers who came out to assist. Here’s what you need to know for the week ahead …
Harvest Festival This Weekend
The Harvest Festival is Sunday, 27th from 12-4pm! We will have live music, face painters, a moon bounce, slide, popcorn, prizes, games, and the best haunted house you have even been through, complete with Stranger Things! We need volunteers to sign up for your class’s Harvest Fest booth. You should have received an email with a link from your class parents. We appreciate your help to make the event a success. Thank you!
PUMPKIN CONTEST: Bring your child’s decorated pumpkin to the Harvest Festival by 1:30 pm to enter the pumpkin contest. The Rules: 1) Pumpkins must be no larger than 2’ x 2’ x 2’. 2) Pumpkins may not be hollowed out or carved. 3) Contestants must reclaim pumpkins at the end of the festival. Councilmember Mary Cheh will announce the winners at 3 pm at the festival.
NEW THIS YEAR: MUMS FOR MUMS! We will be selling pre-ordered Mums. Email Jessica Davis firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to place an order, or fill out the form that went home in your child’s backpack.
BAKE SALE: Calling all bakers! We need a wide variety of Halloween treats and we’d like to have a selection of healthy, all natural desserts too. Please contact Maura Farrell email@example.com to sign up.
USED BOOK SALE: We need your gently used kids’ books, videos, and video games for the popular used book sale at the Harvest Festival. All items can be left in the front lobby in the large boxes provided. We especially need books for older kids and series books like Magic Tree House, as well as books for adults. Questions? Email Katie Thompson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
HARVEST FESTIVAL HAUNTED HOUSE! A big thank you to Debbie and Kevin Nigri who have ONCE AGAIN offered to be our leaders in building the best Haunted House! The Haunted House is our main attraction. Construction is Saturday, Oct 26 from 10 am to 4 pm. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please click here to sign up for set up or take down: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e094ca4ae2aa57-haunted If you have any questions please contact Kevin at email@example.com or Debbie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CLEAN UP: This is one of the most important tasks of the whole festival! We need as many people as possible to make sure everything is clean and safe for our students to return to their beautiful new playground the next day.
