Kids’ Activities for January 27 & 28
Need something for your child to do when school is closed on January 27 and 28 for professional development? The PTO has organized some activities! Go to the PD Days page (https://keyschooldc.org/dcps/professional-development-days/) on the Key School website and find information and links to register for PLAY-WELL STEM Engineering with LEGO, Art Camp, and Basketball.
Tennis Demo at Key Elementary School
TGA is hosting a demo tennis class on Friday, January 31, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm at Key School. Students and parents are invited to join. Coaches will teach and play games with students while the TGA director will answer any questions parents have about the program. Equipment will be provided. This event is free, but registration is required. Please send the student’s name, age, and contact phone number to email@example.com. Registration ends on Wednesday, January 29, at Noon.
On Thursday, January 30, Key School is having a fundraiser at the Spring Valley Pizzeria Paradiso! From 5 to 9 pm, 10 percent of all food orders (carry out and dine in) will come back to Key! Just write “Key” on your receipt. Some Key School auction representatives will also be on hand selling auction tickets and talking sign up parties, donations, and more!
Key Open House Friday, January 31
The final Key School open house for this school year is Friday, January 31, from 9 to 10:30 am, in the cafeteria. Please let your friends and neighbors know about this opportunity to learn more about our great school. Write Beginning Handwriting Camp Summer Registration Now Open
A great summer camp option is the Write Beginnings Handwriting Camp, cursive and print instruction for ages 4 to 14. Handwriting is a very powerful tool and empowers children’s learning and creative writing. Non-Key school students are welcome to attend! Sessions begin June 20. Write Beginnings will offer extended hours this year, from 11:30 am to 4 pm via Arts Camp with Ms. Palm or Sports Camp with Mr. Colton. (Sport camp ages 4 to 12 welcome, Arts Camp, ages 4 & Up.)
