To prepare our students for success in college, career, and life, we have set the bar high. The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a computer-based assessment that matches with the high expectations of the Common Core standards, requiring students to think critically and solve real-world problems.
Students at Key in grades 3–5 will take the PARCC test. The PARCC test assesses what your child is learning in school and helps teachers and parents know if students are on track for success in college and careers.
How to Prepare
The best preparation for the PARCC tests is the rich instruction students are receiving every day here at Key School. See this link to learn how you can support your child’s learning.
What to Expect
Score Results: The results of the current PARCC assessment will be released in late summer to early fall of that year.
Testing Window: The PARCC test is typically administered between April and May. Students do not test every day during the date ranges. We will let you know what the testing schedule is and exactly when your child will be testing at the beginning of the calendar year.
