Key Extended Hours Program (KEHP) provides before- and afterschool childcare for Key Elementary School families. KEHP is designed to offer a fun and enriching environment. Because of the demands on children during school hours, KEHP emphasizes a flexible, low-key atmosphere that allows children to relax and have fun. Safety, caring, and understanding are always the top priorities. Games, crafts, toys, and books are available to children, and enrichment classes, such as cooking and chess, are often offered. In addition, children play outside every afternoon, weather permitting. Snacks are provided daily, and there is ample time for children to do their homework.
The KEHP program is sponsored and run by the Key School PTO and is open to only students enrolled in Key School. Before care takes place from 7:30am to 8:40am, and after care takes place from 3:15pm to 6:00pm. It is important for the integrity of the program that parents pick up their children on time.
